Welcome to the South Cowichan Lawn Tennis Club

TOURNAMENTS Each summer, in addition to club events, we host four tournaments (three sanctioned by Tennis BC) including the Vancouver Island Grass Court Championship, now in its 126th year. HISTORY  On Vancouver Island, close to the historic waterfront village of Cowichan Bay, you will find the lush grass courts of the South Cowichan Lawn Tennis Club. We are very proud of our tennis heritage. The noble game of lawn tennis has been played here in the beautiful Cowichan Valley since 1887. We are one of the oldest lawn tennis clubs in the world and the oldest club in Canada still playing on grass. Read about the club’s complete history here.

JOIN THE CLUB We take great pride in our beautiful facilities... the courts, clubhouse and our lovely herbaceous gardens nestled in the shade of two majestic maple trees. The club is run and staffed by volunteer members.
